A Message From Our Principal
Welcome to Cambridge-South Dorchester High School. Since it opened in 1976, the school has served as a focal point for the community. With its large auditorium and multi-purpose gym, C-SD has hosted everything from religious services and community theater to boat shows and the Chesapeake Man triathlon. Both in academics and in extra-curricular activities the school has a long tradition of excellence. C-SD graduates have attended the finest universities in the nation and gone on to distinguished careers. In athletics and in the arts, C-SD students have displayed amazing talent while earning numerous state championships and awards. Many early graduates of the school have returned to the community to assume leadership roles. Additionally, several staff members have been leaders in the community including serving in local government.
As a new administration assumes leadership of Cambridge-South Dorchester, we are well aware of the school’s past. All of the new administration has deep and long ties to the school: two are graduates and two are long serving faculty members. Our commitment to the school and to its role in the larger community is strong. Under our stewardship, we hope the school can achieve at the highest level and serve the community as a source of pride. Our goal is to make Cambridge-South Dorchester the school of choice for all members of the community from those whose families have been in Dorchester County for generations to those who are just arriving in the county. We look forward to working with the young adults of the community and with those who care for and about them.
